PanchangBodh provides Hindu calendar information, panchang details, and muhurat timings. We built this service with privacy at its core. We don't use advertising trackers or analytics cookies, and we don't sell data to third parties.
When you select a city, we remember it in your browser (local storage and a small cookie) so you don't have to choose it again. Our server reads it only to show that city's timings and does not keep it.
If you contact us through our form, we collect your name, email, subject, message, and optionally your city. This data is stored securely in our database (Supabase) and used only to respond to your inquiry.
If you subscribe to our newsletter (feature coming soon), we'll collect your email address to send you panchang updates and festival alerts. You can unsubscribe anytime.
When you buy a report, or sign in to keep your reports in one place, we hold the following. We use it only to make, deliver and keep your reports, to show daily readings such as rashifal and dasha for the people in your account, and to run your account.
To send your reports and to let you sign in. You choose which extra addresses to link, and each one is confirmed with a code. For Gun Milan, also the other family's email if you asked us to send them a copy.
The name, date, time and place of birth used for each report, so the report can be rebuilt for you whenever you download it again, and so daily readings can be worked out for that person. Birth details you add for family members are used the same way, only with their permission.
The payment ID from Razorpay or PayPal, the amount, and, where the payment provider gives them, the email and phone used to pay. We never see or store card or bank details.
GST invoices for each purchase, as the law requires.
A record of when you agreed to this policy, your 18+ declaration, and whether you want emails about new reports and festivals.
How your account was linked to purchases (Google, or an emailed code), kept as a hash, never the address itself.

Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Render (the server that runs our astronomical calculations), Google (Sign in with Google, and the mailbox that sends our emails), Razorpay and PayPal (payments). None of them may use your data for anything else.

Contact form submissions, and the details behind the reports you buy, are stored in Supabase, a secure and compliant database platform. We use industry-standard encryption (HTTPS) for all data transmission. Your city preference is kept in your browser, not on our servers.
We retain contact form submissions for up to 2 years or until you request deletion. Newsletter subscriptions remain active until you unsubscribe. How long we keep the details behind a report is set out under “Accounts and saved reports” above.

The services that process data for us are listed under “Accounts and saved reports” above: Supabase stores it, Razorpay and PayPal take payments, Google's mailbox sends our emails, and Render runs the calculations. We don't share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.
Our website is hosted on Vercel. They may log basic server information (IP addresses, request timestamps) for infrastructure purposes, but we don't have access to or use this data.
We may update this policy occasionally. If we make significant changes, we'll note the date at the top of this page. Continued use of PanchangBodh after changes means you accept the updated policy.
