Panchang is the traditional Hindu calendar system based on five elements: Tithi (lunar day), Nakshatra (lunar mansion), Yoga (luni-solar combination), Karana (half-tithi), and Vara (weekday). It has been used for thousands of years to determine auspicious timings for ceremonies, vratas, and daily activities. PanchangBodh calculates these using precise astronomical algorithms for your city.

A Janam Kundali is your Vedic birth chart — a map of where all nine Vedic grahas (planets) were at the exact moment and place of your birth. You need three inputs: date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth. The Lagna (ascendant) changes every two hours, so even a 4-minute difference can shift your entire chart. PanchangBodh uses the Swiss Ephemeris with Lahiri Ayanamsha for arcsecond-level accuracy.

Rahu Kaal is a daily period of approximately 90 minutes when Rahu, the shadow planet, is dominant. The day from sunrise to sunset is divided into eight equal parts, and one part is assigned to Rahu based on the weekday. New auspicious beginnings are traditionally avoided during this time, though ongoing work and spiritual activities can continue normally.

All planetary positions are calculated to arcsecond precision using the Swiss Ephemeris — the same engine used by professional observatories. We apply the Lahiri Ayanamsha (the standard endorsed by the Government of India). Sunrise, sunset, and muhurat timings are computed for your exact geographic coordinates, not just city-level approximations, ensuring the highest accuracy for daily panchang and kundali generation.
