Auspicious housewarming dates in 2026 — New Delhi
Panchanga-pure muhurat calculations based on Nakshatra, Tithi & planetary positions
Shubh Muhurat by Season in 2026 — New Delhi
Based on the actual panchang calculation loaded above for New Delhi, 2026.
February, May, December: Peak Season for Auspicious Dates
February, May, December together carry 32 shubha muhurat dates — the richest window of 2026 for planning in New Delhi. Chaturmas has not begun and favourable nakshatras align most frequently during these months.
January, August–October: Why Shubh Muhurat Dates Disappear
January, August–October shows zero shubha muhurat dates. This is typically caused by Chaturmas, Kharmas, or Venus/Jupiter combustion (Tara Asta). Our calculator checks all conditions dynamically; dates only appear when every classical filter passes.
March–April, June–July, November: Second Window for Shubh Muhurat Dates
March–April, June–July, November offers 26 additional shubha muhurat dates — useful if you couldn't find a date during the primary window. Planetary positions and nakshatra combinations in these months can still deliver high-quality muhurat windows.
Every Griha Pravesh Date Above Has Cleared Both Panchang and Vastu Filters
Every date marked Shubha in the calendar above has cleared not one but six classical panchang filters, drawn from Vastushastra's Griha Pravesh Paddhati and Muhurta Chintamani — texts that have governed housewarming auspiciousness for centuries.
This is why February might show 9 auspicious housewarming dates and January might show zero — the count isn't an estimate. It's a location-precise computation anchored to your city's exact sunrise, nakshatra transitions, and solar month boundaries for each day.
On top of the classical rules, we check Venus and Jupiter combust status on every single date. Jupiter combust (Guru Asta) is particularly blocking for Griha Pravesh — Jupiter is the karaka for domestic prosperity and Griha Lakshmi.
How We Calculate Shubh Griha Pravesh Muhurat Dates
When Griha Pravesh Cannot Be Planned — Classical Prohibitions
If any month in the calendar shows zero dates, one of these classical blocks is in effect —
Chaturmas — All Auspicious Ceremonies Paused (Jul–Oct)
From Ashadha Shukla Ekadashi to Kartik Shukla Ekadashi, Lord Vishnu is in yoganidra and Griha Pravesh is prohibited. The exact start and end dates shift each year with the lunar calendar. Our engine computes these boundaries dynamically — which is why the void period may differ slightly from what a printed almanac shows.
Kharmas (Malmaas) — Sun in Sagittarius or Pisces
When the Sun transits Sagittarius (mid-December to mid-January) or Pisces (mid-February to mid-March), the period is called Kharmas or Malmaas. North Indian traditions prohibit Griha Pravesh during these solar months. This is often why January shows zero auspicious dates even though it falls outside Chaturmas.
Sunday & Tuesday — Hard-Blocked for Housewarming
Classical Vastushastra considers Sunday (Surya — excessive fire energy) and Tuesday (Mars — aggressive energy) fundamentally unsuited for domestic entry. Even if the nakshatra and tithi are perfect, Griha Pravesh never happens on these two weekdays. Our calculator enforces this rule automatically.
