About Pradosh Vrat
Sacred twilight worship dedicated to Lord Shiva for spiritual liberation and worldly prosperity
Pradosh means the removal of sins. Observing this vrat during the sacred twilight period when day meets night is believed to absolve all sins and grant moksha.
According to Shiva Purana, Lord Shiva drank the Halahala poison during Samudra Manthan on a Pradosh day, earning him the name Neelkanth.
Regular observance brings peace, prosperity, good health, and fulfillment of desires. It is especially powerful for removing planetary doshas.
Each Pradosh has unique benefits based on the weekday. Soma Pradosh (Monday) and Shani Pradosh (Saturday) are considered most auspicious.
"Pradosh Vrat is the day of divine grace"
The ancient scriptures state that observing Pradosh Vrat with devotion grants the same merit as performing thousands of sacrifices and pilgrimages.
